Some news
I currently have a lot of work and can not hack on moonmoon as often as I would like to. The project is still alive, with interesting performance tweaks in the trunk. The next version will bring delayed load to avoid long response time. However, I don’t think it’s enough to make a new release.
This why I’m asking you: what should include the next version of moonmoon ?
I had some e-mails about RSS compatibility issues but this point heavily relies on simplepie updates. I’ll try to look for solution anyway. If this is your main concern, let me know.
Also tell me if you use moonmoon, it’s always cool to see it spreading around the world, even in washing machines ![]()
Hi, I really appreciated finding MoonMoon, it out did my SimplePie based hack and quickly replaced it!
Feed compatibility is a biggie (yes I know SimplePie not you), maybe a frontend to add sites to the OPML would make it even easier to get going/maintain?
Oh.. then maybe you could exclude feeds temporarily from the frontend? (I’ve had one bad feed take the entire site down) Maybe integration with a feed vaildator?
Willing to help, not a great programmer, but willing.

I would definitely second a possibility to manage people.opml directly from moonmoon (adding/deleting feeds). It does not need to be fancy, a form were I could input feed details per hand would be nice. Of course, it would need some form of password protection, maybe…
If you’re feeling *really* adventurous, why not a template reflecting the functionality of http://www.ubuntustats.com/ ?
Thanks for your great work!

Please let the SimplePie team know about any compatibility issues you may be running across because we can’t fix things that we don’t know about. We’re planning to release a release candidate of SimplePie 1.0 this weekend that will hopefully make a number of things faster and easier.
SimplePie updates, once we reach 1.0, will be more frequent than they have been so improvements will go out more quickly.

Hi. I use Moonmoon for Planet Atheism, and I’m quite happy with it. I’m using the latest CVS trunk, and I’m also using the trunk version of SimplePie, which forced me to hack Moonmoon a little, as some functions have changed. I’m currently aggregating 96 blogs, and everything is working fine. Though I do wish Moonmoon was faster…

Bonjour,

Adding to the admin area a way for admins to merge OPML files would be great, i.e., in case an OPML is already existing it would upload the new one from the users machine and compare domains between existing and importing OPML file and save a new one with just the mixed unique feed sources.
